Dr. David Pierce
Dr. Pierce has a particular interest in vision related learning problems associated with acquired attention disorders. Prior to opening Pierce Vision Specialists, Dr. Pierce was in private practice in Kansas City, MO. He was also a staff optometrist at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
He is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, Low Vision Section of the American Optometric Association and Clinical Associate of the Optometric Extension Program Foundation.
Dr. Courtney Wintjen
Dr. Courtney Wintjen, aka Dr. "Courtney" is from Springfield, MO and attended MSU for her undergraduate degree in Biology where she graduated with honors. She received her optometry degree at the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry in 2006. Dr. Courtney enjoys practicing primary eye care for the entire family, as well as fitting contact lenses. She has a particular interest in pursuing treatment options for patients suffering from dry eye. As a mother of two young children herself, she connects with kids of all ages--making their experience in our office comfortable and enjoyable. Dr. Courtney is a member of the American Optometric Association and Missouri Optometric Association.
Dr. Melissa Broaddus
Dr. Melissa Broaddus grew up in Springfield, Missouri, and graduated from Glendale High School before attending Eastern Kentucky University for her undergraduate degree. She earned her doctorate from the Southern College of Optometry in 2013 and completed a residency in Family Practice Optometry with an emphasis in ocular disease at West Tennessee Eye. She is a member of several professional optometric societies, and lives in Springfield with her husband and son.
